I am fairly new to Revit. I am working in Revit 2009. I would like to create a floating staircase with the use of glass railings in a commercial setting. Ideally, what I would like is the omition of posts so that when you look at the staircase all you see are the stairs, the railing and bolts that connect the glass to the stairs. I have put in my stairs but can't figure out the railing. I know that you can put in glass panels as balusters, but I don't know how. Please help! I have spent a lot of time trying to find other forums with this answer but am left frustrated. Step by step answers are apreciated greatly.

If you don't want posts you can create the glass panels as railings.  Create a new profile about 20mm thick and 1000mm high.  I assume your stair has structural glass sides.  You can create a profile if required to support the glass.  I'm not sure how the bolts would fix this down, but you could probably create these as balusters.

Although an all glass railing is not included, everyone should open the rvt railing file in the on-line library.  This is a great resouce ... just copy - paste into your model to get a railing that is close to what you want - then modify it.
