I am wanting to make some 3d details to be in the drawing set of a current project and I am looking for advice as to how I can draft additional detail on an axon view. It seems like I would need to use the section box to crop down my 3D view and then have a reference plane to draw model lines for the additional detail.  This seems like it will be time consuming.  What I would like to do is to be able to make a true isomentic view and then use drafting lines on top of the view.  Any suggestions?

I really want to do this as well but have come up with no answer, the only thing i can think of is to over model the area where you cut the 3d section, but thats a lot of work!

Please let me know if you find an answer.

I've been using 3D-modeling to do some details. Rather than creating the complex details in the "building project", I make a "project" just for the detail that I want to make.  This keeps file sizes small and it makes it easier to reuse the detail on several jobs. Attached is a pdf of an example.
