Hello, I am new to revit (architecture 200Shadey and have been doing a lot of turorials. I have one on massing that I got from the Autodesk website (Using Massing Tools). I have two issues; first is that the template you are asked to use is not available to me (Imperial\i_massing_Start.rvt.) I have tried to load this template, but have not found it. I have resorted to using other available default templates.

A bigger problem however is that when finished working with a mass and completing a save, when the drawing is opened back up the completed mass is gone! If you look at the thumbnails prior to opening it looks like where you left off, but press "open" and presto - no mass's.

Any and all help appreciated,

Thanks,

Rich

Try opening the file and going to View-->Show Mass.

Do you have the "show mass" button turned on in your views?

The default is for it to be off.

Thanks guys! That solved my problem. Just another R.O.S. situation - rookie operator syndrome.

Cheers,

Rich

If you're dabbling with Massing (!), you may find this of interest....
