I would like to use a SSG curtain wall system in my project but do not find it in any of the families that come with Revit. I have attached an image of the wall i would like to use. Has anyone been able to manipulate the curtain wall type properties to acheive this? The horizontal mullion is wider than the vertical (as shown). Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Create your own profiles.... easy to do and a good learning lesson.

You are actually just changing the profile for the mullion.  I would create a simple glazing mullion profile with enough detail to suite the scale of your architectural drawings.

It is always a good idea to start with something existing.  It is easier to modify then to creat.

For the details as shown in your attachment, I would use detail components.  I believe there are details like you need,in the library (either with Revit or in RevitCity, line based not model based)

You can change the profile so it sits behind the glass as far as you want.

Look through these sites along with thread searches here at REVITCITY.:

http://www.cadclips.com/

http://www.caddigest.com/subjects/revit/tutorials.htm

Learning what is already available will help you with a lot more than just this question.

I have a general question about curtain walls. When I'm actually ready to intall a curtain wall, where is the best place to find commerical glazing products? I've heard that Dow Corning has a few glazing products... are they any good? I recently saw that their silicone helped construct the world’s largest cable-net-supported glass wall in the New Poly Plaza. Looks really great.
