Hi there Wander what is the best family template to use wan create a 2D family?  to use as furniture symbol for instance). Nirim

Always use the template for the type of object it is regardless of 2d or 3d. this lets it schedule. so for a furniture 2d symbol you would use a furniture family.

sounds like you could use a detail family for that also if you just wanted a plain graphic illustration for it. other families you can use the generic family template and then change the family category under settings.
