Hi there May be it is obvious but not to me, how can I find the insertion point of a building that I been inserted in to site layout plan as ‘x-ref’? And how do I remove the link between elements? (When I want to move one wall all the wall and floor that connect to it move as well) thanks Nirim

What is this "x-ref" you speak of? There is no such thing in Revit. Only Links :D I'm not sure about finding an insertion point, but you can share the coordinates of the file you linked in with the building project (called Shared Positioning) as shown in Steve's blog entry here. To remove attachments that walls have when moving, click the disjoin radio button in the options bar when you use the move command. This will ensure that nothing follows it. You can use this on more than just walls. Edited on: Fri, Mar 30, 2007 at 3:28:14 PM

You fell victim to one of the classic blunders. The most famous is never get involved in a land war in asia, but only slightly less well known is this! Never go in against a Sicilian when death is on the line! |

rkitect Thanks for the information; I probably need to learn little bit more about share coordination, however I did not mean x-ref literally I did not know how to describe the situation. nirim
