I know this will be easy for most. Im new and cannot remember how we did this in class. but i need to make various arched openings in my project? I can make a rectangular one with the opening tool, but how to do the arch??

Have a look in the family library<doors. There should be a arched opening. If not make a new family using the door family. It will have an opening cut, just modify the head to get your arch.

to do just a wall opening select what wall you want and select edit profile then open the right view.
