I didn't read through the threads on this post- I'm terribly lazy; I sure would like a section dedicated to rendering.

Also, the search option is slightly annoying.  I click on the down-arrow thing, select where I would like to search, and then start to type.  Halfway through I realize I'm typing in 'space'  I have to pull the thing back down again, and make sure my cursor is hovering in the right location.  That could be fixed too.

A search bar (I'm sorry, I don't know the technical names of web-page components) with a pulldown on the side would be wonderul- sorta like they have at bungie.net.

Other than that.  I love this place.  Thank you!

Did I mention a section dedicated to rendering?  I'm not talking just images, I'm talking about lighting, places to go for textures, techniques, lighting, etc. etc. etc.

It would be really cool if there was a form people filled out when they uploaded a rendering that says what revit version they are using, what the specs on their machine are, how long it took, and what the post revit edits were, if any.

Also, i agree with the post a few posts before this about the search function. its annoying.

thanks for a great site!

I debated on whether or not to put this in Bugs or improvements, but since it technically works, just not well I thought it would be more appropriate here.

Please update the forum and chat to be compatible with Safari and Chrome!  Neither of the browsers display any text in chat and both seem to be incompatible with many of the posting features (ie: images, link pop ups and formatting) that are provided by forum post editor.

Thanks Smile

Need help? I'm probably in my chat room!

You fell victim to one of the classic blunders. The most famous is never get involved in a land war in asia, but only slightly less well known is this! Never go in against a Sicilian when death is on the line!

"Has the download counter been disabled?"

Which counter where? I don't believe any counters have been disabled, but I can look into a possible problem if I have some more specifics on what you are seeing.

Previously when someone downloaded a file the number of downloads for that file increased. I have several uploaded files which have been stuck on the same number of downloads for some time. If you notice all the files on the download page remain at zero.

This site does not register downloads immediately.  It also doesn't change user scores immediately.  Just give it time.

It would be really great if RevitCity had an option when uploading to the site to let users know if the family is in Revit or Cad.  When downloading, you could see what type of file you are opeining and it would be really helpful instead of spending time opening files to find they are not in the format you need them in. This could be as simple as a pull down field (pre-populated) to include the formats when uploading the families.
