Hello

I am working on a BIM Project and all our sheets and drawing list in Excel must be posted on a common data enviornment. I have previouly set up sheet lists to preform and produce an issue sheet within Revit which could be printed to PDF. Most was Automated and a small amount of manual imput per sheet was nesessary. (see attached) the problem is that we are now required to work on an excel spread sheet. Of coarse we can export our sheet lists and current revision and date to an excel spread sheet. This is not good enough as many of you must be awair, Architectural practices are often precious about the look of their issue sheets. I want Revit to export the required information onto a pre-configured excel spreadsheet template and every subsequent issue must add on and update that spreadsheet.

Every time we issue something we must take time to do this manualy and that is just not BIM.

Has anyone out there any experience of this issue or any clever add on that dose just this?

Try this:

Set up the Excel sheet how you would like it to look. Create a new blank sheet.

Export your schedule from Revit and copy the contents to the blank sheet in your Excel file

On your formatted sheet, refer a cell to the relevant cell from your imported sheet (Type '=' and then click in the relevant cell on the imported sheet).  Copy the formula to the other cells.

Once this is set up, then you can just overwright the imported values from your updated Revit scchedule into the same sheeet and all the fomatted information should update.
