I added a fascia to the roof of my drawing a while back, now I want to change the profile, but I can't seem to select the fascia to change it or even delete it?

Check that it's not pinned. You may have the 'Select pinned elements' switched off - see attchment.
It may also be in a design option, in which case you will need to go into the relevant design option to select it.
