I'm having trouble figuring out how to make this work. I've created a new family for built-up wood columns. I have an array parameter linked to "Number of Ply's" where when entering 2 gives me a 2 ply column, 3 gives me a 3 ply column etc. This is working great; however my trouble comes when trying to extend the height of the group. I cannot seem to figure out how to apply lower and upper reference levels to this group. They stay at the set height of my extension, when I try to drag the upper reference level the lower level moves up and maintains a consistant height. Revit is not allowing me to contrain the height of grouped objects. Please help!
I've got the same issue with a built-up beam family I've created; I've got no problem getting the number of plys to display but the beam stays at a constant length!

I can't open your file, as I'm still on 2017, but I suspect that the end ply is not constrained. In you array, constrain the first and last ply to the reference height.
