Hi

I had a revit project for our house which i created by tracing over the floorplan pdf. I have just received the site survey dwg and wish to bring this into my project and then drag my building over the footprint of the building in the dwg, and create the contours, and then add the perimeter walls etc.

I seem to be having issues with the dwg file. I have tried linking and importing it. I have tried various settings, and also tried importing/linking to a new blnak project.

The dwg appears absoloutelt tiny - the only way to actually check it was even there was to draw a selection box and then filter to select it. Then once i scroll into it, i seem to be missing a lot of content eg the contour lines, building pads etc - It just seems to be the text elements that remain. I do get a warning when importing that some numerical data was out of range and therfore truncated.

Is it the dwg itself? Do i need to ask the surveyor to re export their file for me? SHould i request certain settings?

Or is it just some settings on the import/linking that i am getting wrong?

I have attached the dwg and the site pdf - i assume i should get all the content from the pdf in the dwg?

thanks

You have to import from model space and you need to import with the correct scale.   0,0 in that DWG is a ways off but it doesn't look too far.

i have serached but can't find the steps to be able to do this. Is this something i can do in Revit, there are no other options related to spaces when i link a file nor do i get any warnings.

could i please ask you to detail the steps for me?
