I'm having trouble with my ceiling details. I have several spots throughout the building with the same ceiling detail, and I've made a section: detail view from one location. I'd like to put tags on the other locations, referencing the same drawing/sheet number (the bubble with 1 / A1.1 in it), and have the tags say SIM. beside them. I've looked in the help file, and it seems like this should be possible, but I cannot figure out how... I don't want to have to put eight of the same detail on a sheet just to have it properly referenced on the ceiling plan. Has anyone managed this? Thanks for your help. -Erin

If I read what you want to do correctly, what you need to do is create a new callout, and check the box that says reference other view (should be on the bar right above the drawing window) then select the view you want to reference. I hope that helps.

Yes, that's what I understood from the help file, but I've got no box to check on the option bar. Is there any other way of indicating that I want to reference another view? Thanks, Erin

as soo as you pick up the callout tool an option to refer to other views will appear on top.

ooooh... Thanks very much. I kept looking for it after creating another view. I guess that makes more sense anyway... Thanks again. -Erin
