is there a way to find the lenght of one side of the roof? or a way to do an alinged dimension

There a few ways I can think of doing this. If the roof edge is cut perpendicular (not plumb cut) to the roof face, you could string a dimension from the roof edge to a point at the peak of the roof (press tab until a single dot appears at the ridge). If that doesn't work, try drawing reference lines or planes perpendicular to the face of the roof and copy the lines/planes to the peak and string dimensions between the two lines/planes.

Select the dimension tool Tab through the elements until you get a POINT Click on the point Do the same with another point and you have yourself a dimension aligned between two points.

ill have to try that, since what we have to do is build a fom model of one of our projects
