although ive never done a night rendering, I noticed that when you have your frame and everything set up, you can go to the browser bar under rendering and there is an option that says Lighting... with a light bulb beside it, anyway, if you go into this, you wil have a light source called sun, to the right of that is a box with a check mark in it. im guessing that if you uncheck the box, it will turn the sun off, creating a night scene. but ill asume that you will need to put in lamps and such for the rendering to work

please explain your setup in detail.... lights are placed where, how many sources, is your sun turned on or off and most importantly, have you checked the envirnoment setting. I need to know your initial setup and i can probably help you from there.....

Or you can go to Advanced Model Graphics ans turn the sun to a brightness of zero. It will render all black, and then you have to adjust the exposure accordingly....Hope this helps
