Okay, this should be pretty simple but I can't figure it out.  I have a large curved curtainwall that I need to make for a new lab building.  I created a mass, created the curtain system from face and it worked just fine... except that the curtainwall is 10" deep and the glass is supposed to be front set, the curtain system generated the glazing on the inside.  There is no flip control for inside/outside on the curtain system.  How do I change the orientation of the curtainwall after its made?

The curtain system is defined by type.  Did you define it?  Did you create the mullions or use stock ones?  If you have not defined these items correctly, then that may be your problem.

If the wall you are doing is only curved in plan then I recommend that you don't use a mass.  Just create a curved curtain wall.  The wall will be segmented flat sections between the curtain grids.  Or are you really going to use curved glass and curved mullions?  REALLY?!!!!

Thanks again for the reply dripping with sarcasm.  Very professional and courteous. Yes, I did create and define the mullions and the glazing panel type prior to setting up the curtain system.

And an fyi for you, when you create a curtain system from a mass that has a curved face... Revit creates a segmented curtain system!  No curved glass or curved mullions.  REALLY?!!! Yeah!

I managed to fix my system so that it works just fine, thanks.

There was absolutly NO sarcasm there.

There are a lot of students that use this site.  Their knowledge is often too limited to understand the real world problems that are associated with some simple, early choices.  The REALLY?  Is meant to get the poster to think about that choice. If this is a student project then sky-hooks work!  If you have the budget then go ahead and I hope you get past VE.

BTW - You say you fixed it but you fail to tell others how.  Please do that.

I hope you don't have any doors or openings to put in your mass created wall by face.

If I understand this question we have come across the same issue and solved it this morning. In place Mass for a sloped glazing for our exterior wall...added curtainwall system then add mullions and all are placed on the opposite face. We picked a section view highlighted the curtain wall glazing gridline and mirrored without copying.

Voila.
