Revit2013, I created the clevis using the height and distance to control the angle of rod cable, now I try to add a buckle as nested family, but I can not make its turn follow the angle of cable.

Please point out what I did wrong on family or nested family.

Tthank you

I didn't open the family but to get 'angles' to react properly you need to use Reference Lines, not Planes.

I open your family and stretched it without any problems. The only glitch came from a reference line shown at the cable angle with a useless angle dimension locked to it. I erased the reference line because it didn't appear that any of the components were locked to it. Personally I think you did a great job creating this family... I learned a few things from it. Thanks for loading it!

This is a simple rod brace I used on some docks. It stretches

revit 2013

ok I get the turn buckle to rotate with rod cable, but now I can not create the proper two seperate cables or even void in the middle of turn buckle.

could you direct me why I can draw a reference only in left elevation but not in the other without have to pick reference level or plane.
