hello - i am working on a foundation plan and need to have my footings appear with dashed lines. when i change the line type in visibility graphics, my foundation walls become dashed as well, which i do not want. is there a way to have the foundation walls appear with solid lines and the footings below to appear with dashed lines? thanks!

Yes, pick on 'linework' icon, select line you want and pick on line which you want to change

Well yes you could do that but why not let Revit do it for you. When I started I thought I'd have to use a reflected ceiling plan for the structural floor/roof framing members but the trick is to manipulate the cutting planes & viewing planes. In View Properties: 1) Discipline = Structural 2) View Range, Top = Associated Level Bottom = Unlimited View Depth = Unlimited Also make sure Floors are visible.

thanks - my view range is set up exactly as you say kb, but the footing lines remained solid...xane's method worked out great for now.
