i was wondering how to create my own custom patterens and import them into revit

you can create your pattern using whatever programs available, or just write the text file, if you know what you are doing Smile importing the .pat file into Revit is easy, using create/new in the field region dialouge box, choose custom and load your .pat...

Hatch Kit is the best program out there i've found for creating your own patterns. I'll usually draw the pattern in Revit, export out to dwg then use hatchkit to turn it into a PAT file. HTH.

so does this i can use say MS PAint to create a pattern then save it as a .pat file?
