We are having difficulties controlling the wall hatch patterns in our sections. We would like to hide our wood stud layer

hatch, while keeping our concrete, stucco, etc. hatches on. We would also like to keep the wood stud layer hatch in our

plans. Using VG, we are able to hide all the hatches in our sections, which is not what we want. We also tried going into

the material for our wood study layer and turned the section pattern to none. Even though this worked for our

sections, this however removed the hatch pattern from our plans.

Is there any way we can hide the hatch in one particular wall material in just one view?

Thanks.

Sorry, you can not control these by wall layers, just material.  You can use a coarse hatching pattern defined seperatly in the wall types.  We use this sometimes in small scale views.

One of my clients wants to see BLACK stud wall frames in plan view, but not in section view. I played around for aged with attempting to use different view filters - all to no affect.

So I worked out to put a Line Based Detail Componant on the section views of the project. Not really a worth while excercise on lots of 1:100 views, but on a small project with only 1 or 2 sections like I was working on - it really didnt take long at all.

I'm attaching the Line Based Detail Componant for you to play with - I have a couple of different variations of this basic family for different applications (ie load bearing walls, vrs non load bearing walls, nogging mid height, no noggings etc)

The version i've attached is for the Load Bearing wall WITH mid-height nogging.

Kind Regards

David.
