You can use the pain tool or set a cut patten

As agosztyla said, you can use the PAINT tool to just the end of the brick wall section.

I sometimes make the brick wall go past the clad wall by 25mm to 50mm (or 1' to 2' for the imperial revit uses out there). That stops the hatch pattern from going over the end of the brick wall - but the brick pattern still does not appear.  Still need to use the PAINT tool to 'see' it in 3D and elevations.

By making the brick wall go past the clad wall, the brickwork acts as a 'stop' for the cladding to butt up into.

If you only want the brick for just the depth of the brick, not the total wall thickness, you will have to split this face first, then paint the brick area.

Great tip WW.

If you want to actually show a 'sectional' view of the end / top / bottom  of a wall use the Split Face tool and Paint.

Or cycle through wall joins.  Might be an option that looks like you want.

I checked out the wall joins and all return options before I answered.  I could not find a solution there that worked.

India, I think you are missing the point. We want the brick wall layer to show up in thickness at the wall ends in a 3d or elevation view. As far as I know this cannot be accomplished with wall joins, extending the wall end or wall wraps. REVIT by default simply does not show the ingredients of the wall layers in 3d. Only in section. You need to use the Split face and Paint tools.

Thanks for tip, but if I understand,  using the paint tool will do the job for elevation view, but is there a way to making it right when rendered ?

The paint tool applies a material, it is not a 2D only tool.
