Is there an option to override VG properties based on worksets?

I have few worksets in a single building block. Each workset contains multiple elements (Beams,Columns and walls). I need to show each workset in different materials/colors on 3D view. Please suggest how I can acheive this.

Thanks.

I forgot to add - I have created muliple 3D views to show each workset in each 3D view.

Materials are fixed per element, not per view.  If you want multiple material options, use Design Options.  Worksets are not meant for this use.

You can set up a filter for worksets in V/G. I don't know that you will be able to change the materials, but you will be able to change the shading colors. I have done that myself just to be able to quickly check to make sure elements are on the correct workset.

Thanks for both the suggestions.

With Filter, I could go upto selecting the Workset and not to further steps. May be I have to learn more.

I duplicated the families of Beams, Columns and Walls based on workset names to show different materials/colours across the worksets. It worked for me to show the same assigned material/colour in all other 3D views where the respective worksets are visible.

Thanks.

With 3 clicks and Graphic Studio it's possible to override it like this:

  1. Hide temporarily undesirable worksets, keeping 1 workset on.
  2. Select all objects visible
  3. Click on the graphical change in the Graphic Studio dialog
