Hi,

Is there any way to delete a category parameter in a sheet family?

I searched on this topic and those related are old posts which says impossible. Just trying my luck on 2012 version!

For example, I need to add a shared param for "Checked by" in Project Information. When I add a sheet within a project, ultimately there will be two similar parameters but the family category parameter will be redundant.

If deletion is not possible, is there a way to link both params?

You can't delete a system parameter, but linking the parameters may be possible. First, why are you re-creating the system parameter? Why not use it?

Thanks for the reply.

That was a specific requirement here - to have 'Checked By' as Type parameter since that system param is Instance.

Anyway, the user can now select all sheets in project browser and enter the param value just once. Additional shared param can be avoided and system param will be used as you suggested.
