hello all I am trying to model a perforated metal panel for a building that I am currently designing. I am fully aware that I can show the perforations through the rendered material, however I need to physically model it so that it can be seen in the non rendered elevations....does anyone have some tips on how to do this? Thanks

Why would you need to model it?  Perforated panels are usually represented by a surface pattern in non-rendered views.

One reason you  might want to model it is to be able to specify it with Keynoting and have it cross reference your Specifications.

this may be slow and somewhat heavy geometry, but have you thought of editing the wall profile? using the array function may speed things up. The best and most accurate method would be to create a family that can then be scheduled/tagged etc later...

jawycoff,  As a material, it can be keynoted and cross-referenced to specifications - still no need to model the holes.  And the question was about non-rendered views.  An associated model hatch for the material will do that.
