Ok.. I am a student learning Revit (when the instructor knows nothing himself) and I got a pretty good area to put a pool in.. but I need to know something.. how do I put a pool in? Any sort of component or do u have to make one yourself/

Congrats on biting this off. More info is needed to answer your question. LIke - size, shape (rect or organic) in ground, above ground,etc and how accurate of construction is required. Is this a rendering effect, or is this to be a fully modeled 3D pool.. Rendering - use two floor types. One would be the surround, one the pool surface. Draw the surround, cut an opening, place a surface lower in the opening and assign a reflective surface to the lower surface. Download accessories, ladder and board. Modeling - treat as room. Walls are walls, modeled in elevation for pool bottom slope, floor with slope for bottom. Roof for water, or inplace solid - Anyway - you get the idea. Jump in - ask questions - enjoy...

i found this little exchange when looking at swimming pools. just wanted to say thanks for the suggestions in how to create one. have used them. thanks!
