What is the best way to model trusses? Creating or modifying families seems cumbersome (if not impossible), but I am admittedly a novice. I have just grouped members that look like a truss, but aren't officially a truss in the program. Any suggestions or starting points would be appreciated.

1. Check existing catalogues to see if what you need already exists 2. If what you need can be accomplished with an existing truss template, just use that. 3. If not, consider building your own parametric or non-parametric truss 4. If you do not need a parametric truss, just a truss which will be used with minimal variation, then make a non-parametric truss (or model group) FYI- model-groups will boost your file-size, so families are preferable when appropriate. 5. If you need a parametric truss...good luck. Try to find an example of how to create one. Line-based generic families with nested array panels work niceley (in my opinion.)
