Hi there

It is a while that I am trying to build that family (see attached) but I can not make the formula   to tell the family to add or subtracted a oyster’s segment (similar to repeating detail) in order to maintain the individual segment length bigger then 150mm or smaller then 180mm.

The idea is to control the length of that lead flashing to accommodate a window, whatever its width.

I didn't review the family but you may be confusing Revit with your units. If your trying to get a whole number by dividing up a length parameter, divide the length by 1unit first then apply your divider

 Ie. (Length/1mm)/# of spaces

DeifyMe

It is not that, it is how to: First identify to myself what condition I need to employ and then to put them into formula.

Try this in your arry formula: 'Flashing length / 180 mm'. If you really want to get clever, you can do something this: 'if((Flashing length / 180 mm) < 2, 2, (Flashing length / 180 mm))'. That will keep you from getting errors if you make it short enought to make the array equal 1.

Hi TKennedy

Let put it like this, in order to make that family really funky, basically what I need is to use the same formula that the repeated detail formula use, but I can’t make it.

TKennedy

One big thumb up for you, I wrote the formula in the wrong place, but in the right one it work perfectly.

Thanks
