Why is that the electrical fixture family (say Dbl Socket Switched) use a nested family for the 2D symbol? nirim

I think what your refering to is the generic annotation nested into a specific view of the component family. You have to nest this in the get the benefits of a good symbol that adjusts its size based on the scale of the drawing your working in.
