For some reason, I cant get my trusses to attach to my roof in RAC 2011, i opened a new project and did a test and it worked fine. What am I doing wrong? Attached is an image of the problem, I am using the Howe flat truss, and the roof has a 6/12 pitch

It may have something to do with the heel end of the truss....looks like the top and bottom chord meet at a point.  If the roof surface does not meet the intersection of the truss at that same point, you would probably get a geometric imposibility.

Maybe try adding a vertical "heel" member to the truss profile family so that it's height can go up or down to adjust to the roof offset from the wall bearing height.

I'm afraid I'm not quite sure what you mean, having a picture would help

This is the truss profile I'm thinking of....See if creating something like this gives you better luck.  I believe that the vertical member right at the heel will allow the top chord to attach at any height or angle, while the standard family that has the top chord meeting the bottom chord at a point will only allow the truss to attach if the roof is very close to the bearing point.

Ok, thanks I'll try that. just have to modify the truss to be a mono pitch
