Using Revit Structure. Cannot get my horizontal bracing to look right. Inserting member as a beam with work plane set to my current roof. When I insert a brace member to columns/beam/truss intersection crazy cut backs occur to the orginal col/beam/truss members i.e. suddenly my beam projects 200mm past the gridline intersection. When I remove the horizontal brace member my column/beam intersections go back to how they are supposed to look.

Anyway of changing your beam member so it doesn't apply cuts etc to existing members on in your model.

Have you tried to model the brace with the brace tool/command?
