I'm trying to re-orient a section cut (actually I'm using Detail cut) to a foundation wall, since I've rotated the wall in plan. Is there any way to do this withoug erasing the Detail and starting over? I've already dimensioned and annotated the detail and don't want to lose that work. I can rotate the detail symbol in plan, but can't snap to any part of it so my orientation is only approximate.

 Thanks

Any way without starting over?  Not sure.

If you've already detailed the section, you can copy and paste from view to view.

Thanks, it's more the tedium of view setup tasks that don't come with applying a view template, such as stretching out and arranging the levels, that I'm trying to avoid.

Well.  Yes, you can do it.  It's a bit tedious...but it can be done.  Probably easier to just create a new section...maybe not.

Follow the link.  Notice the trouble I have snapping to the correct endpoint.  I eventually get it, but you'll get the point.

I have had succes at just drawing a line perpindicular to my wall and if it doesn't intersect my section, I move the section to where it intersects my line.  Then I chhose the section and the rotate tool, move my rotation point to the intersection, then grab the end of the section and rotate to the line.  Delete the line.
