I am using revit structure 2010, and have all my floor framing modeled.  When I link in my grid/column file, it makes my framing dissappear.  When I unload the link, it re-appears as it should, with hidden lines under the slab.  Why does the link make the framing disappear?

What do you mean by link-in your grid/column file?

Are you importing from CAD/another program? Is there a slab on your grid/column file?  Are you linking Revit files?  Tell us more.

I am linking in a seperate revit model which containes only my grids and columns.  The building is being broken into 6 seperate revit models, and in order to have them all coordinate, we are all linking in the same model containing the grid/columns.

You seem to be treating it like AutoCAD.  This has been a hot-topic at my firm, but the reality is this: each discipline (revit file) really needs it's own grids and levels.  These elements are necessary in order for Revit to function- these system families are the backbone of Revit.

That doesn't really answer your question though- the linked-in model has no slabs?
