How can I pick the steel of an entire floor and lower it 1"? When I put a window around the floor with only the beams on the element properties dialog box is empty when it opens.

If these are tied to a structural level, you could just lower that. If not, you could add a structural level and move all the beams to that level.

Are you sure you filtered everything out? At any rate- when I frame a floor I typically create levels for my TSE and my TBE. This provides me with the ability to constrain elements and control them easily. If I need to raise/lower an elevation 1", I just change the elevationt the level is constrained to. It's also nice for constraining floors to my slab.
