Heard a podcast by Phil Read from AU 2007...

Who is using them?

Thoughts?

Considerations regarding 2010 and 64-bit machines?

Thanks in advance.

A few people do run Revit in a virtual machine.  The most popular choice, I would have to say, is the Mac users running Windows as a Guest OS so they can use their Autodesk software on their Mac’s.

I have currently started virtualization using Linux as a Host OS.

Do you have a link to that podcast?

What I DON’T like is that regardless of which OS you are loyal to, you are still required to obtain a different OS to run the software.  I still think it’s a great alternative to waiting for the software manufacturer to port the software over to your OS of choice.  Depending on what you do at your job, you may need the different OS and it would be a shame to have to run two systems at once.

It's a workaround for sure, but not a bad one!

I don't have a link.  But, if you can search for it in the itunes podcast section.  You can either search for Phil Read as the artist, or Autodesk as the subject.  They have about 20-30 podcasts available.
