I've got a confusing question.

I have a plan that is fully annotated, dimensioned, & ready to go...  Unfortunately the plan changed slightly & it no longer fits on one sheet... It needs to be divided & have a key plan that will reference the divided parts of the plan.

Normally I would start with a key plan, & create 2 enlarged callouts from it, then annotate, dimension, etc....  The problem is I have to do this process backwards now (it's kind of a 'chicken before the egg' type scenario).  Is there a way to do this?

Let me know if the question is not clear.

 Thanks!

There are two ways to achieve this.  The first is to duplicate the view with detailing and then crop each view to the desired size.  You can create Callout tags on a key plan and refer them to the appropriate view.

The second method, probably preferable, is to Duplicate the view as a dependant.  They are in effect the same view, but you can crop each one so that it fits on the sheet.  Use the Matchline function to refer each view to the other - see Matchlines in help for more details on how to do this.

I disagree....

Just make your callout then copy paste all annotative/2D detail elements from the plan to the call-out.  Only takes a few minutes.

You can do that also, but I'm not sure that it's quicker than either of the methods previously mentioned.

I had tried copying all of my annotation, but Revit crashed big time...  Then when i finally got it to work, it left out random dimensions & notes.  Kind of wierd.

Thanks for the help.
