Hi, I need any tips or help making a joist that has 2 top chords and the webbing both slopes down to the middle where there is 1 bottom chord. I am trying to make it using an existing joist and manipulating it. but I can't seem to make it work. anyone?

Get this pdf from the AutoDESK site "ArchitectureFamiliesImpENU" - it explains how to set up families with angled elements that will flex correctly. BTW - There is a lot of useful information on how to build families in this publication.

There's a little padlock icon if you click on the element. Unlock it.

The reference line has to be placed first. Can't place it afterwards.

As I said ... reference line has to be first. Then create the shape along that line....
