I accidently exited out of my navigation bar nad now i cannot figure out how to get it back can anyone tell me

I did that but there is nothing that says display navigation bar. A step by step would be helpful.

When you say you lost the navigation bar, do you mean the ribbon? If you hoover over the down arrow on the end of the bar that has the word Home in it, it says"Show full ribbon" ... conversely when the ribbon is displayed, it will say "minimize to panle titles".

I had assumed you meant the ribbon, sorry. To display the navigation bar, click on the View menu, User interface (on the right) and check navigation bar.
