Is there any way to design in perspective view in Revit? The default is axo. I really like the ability to be able to design in perspective, like you can do in Sketchup. I think designing that way is closer to reality and allows you to see exactly how the building will look in real life.

No, not possible in Revit, besides changing the properties of elements. I would think that the default for designing is plans, sections and elevations - I do very little in the 3D (isometric) view.
