So I created a generic annotation family for my company logo.  In the family I have our logo inserted as a BMP file, along with various text and labels.  The family also reads from a type catalog for our various office addresses.

Anyway, there are a couple problems with the BMP file.  First, and foremost, when I insert the family onto a titlblock family, it shows fine. But when I load that titleblock into a project, the BMP file is gone.  Everything else comes through fine.  Any thoughts on why this is happening or how to fix it?

Second, and not really an issue if the first worked, but when I insert the family into a view, the BMP image goes HUGE.  back to it's original size of 8"x8", instead of the 1"x1" size I shrunk it down to.  I don't know why this is happening either.  Again, not really an issue in this case, but I would like to understand it none the less.

 Thanks

I've run into this problem.

If you have a CAD format of your company logo, it will work much much better.  You can also trace logos in CAD.

Import the CAD file into your family as needed.  Make sure you keep a copy of your logo- you don't want to lose it.

Also, bringing the CAD logo into something like a titleblock family will not allow you to link it.  If you make changes, you'll have to re-import it to see the changes.

I don't have an explanation...
