I have an existing 2" concrte slab over 2" metal deck.  When it is new construction it shows the slab and the deck profile.  When it is existing it is shown blocked out.  Is there a way to show the deck profile for an existing floor system?

If I change the phase filter to 'by category' instead of 'overriden' it will show the profile but it has new construction lineweights.  Is there a way to get the lineweight back to existing?

My recommendation is to copy the deck/slab type and rename it with 'exist' in the name.

Example might be something like:

Exist 3" Conc on 2" Deck

Then, create and apply a filter as needed.

If you don't know how to do that, let me know and I can help.

I have this same problem but my firm's standards is to show all existing construction with a dark gray infill.  I need the phase for existing objects to be overridden with the cut pattern to a solid gray.  Why does Revit get rid of the deck profile when this is set up this way?
