I created to a custom material for a tile pattern I am using in a bathroom. I created the Color jpeg and the bump jpeg files in photoshop. When i apply the color pattern the preview turns black. However if I apply the bump file to the where the colored material goes it will render. I have attached both jpegs as well as 2 renderings of my bathroom to this thread so that hopefully someone can help me. I just cant figure out why it will not render out correctly, Thanks in advance

FWASDrafter, I too am having this issue. What's odd is that I have been able to create custom rendering materials with images in the past, and suddenly I am stuck on one. I've recreated the image to be lighter, a small version, and a small/light version and it still comes out black. on another of your posts about this issue - the one that someone actually replied with a suggestion to - i tried his method and got the same results, though i was a bit confused by the steps he offered. If you have any luck with this, let me know. i've been working for hours on this and i'm giving up - just going to have to photoshop it in...
