Hi all,

Is there a way to create a foundation wall with a sloped base-line? We use it here because the soil is rock, so the foundation will be poured following the soil/clip.

If a adjust the foundation wall with "edit profile" and change the base line sloped, my foundation slab dissappears, so is there a special way to do this?

How would this be achieved in real life?  Concrete is a liquid when poured, so at the bottom it will follow the slope. but at the top will be stepped by the formwork that is holding it in place.  Is the wall going to be built onto a sloping base? This would be quite difficult on site.

I think that the solution is to create an in-place family.  This can be sloping top and bottom to follow the wall profile if you wish, but would probably be stepped at the top.  You can create this in the structural foundation category as an extrusion.

Thanxs for the reply,

Maybe the slope is a little exagerrated, but they do this over here, image building on a sloped, rocky island, they are not going to break the rock, they pour the concrete [thick enough] in parts and start leveling the concrete blocks block for block [island style].

Inplace familys are not my favorite, they are not parametric and interactive, meaning i have to draw this for each wall! Isn't there a foundation wall that could be referenced to a plain or something! Otherwise the inplace family

You could create the foundation as a wall, and edit the profile.  The image shows a 700mm wide concrete wall as a foundation, with the edited wall base aligned and locked to the foundation wall.
