I'm trying to use split face tool to show a soldier course around an outside corner of the building. Its easy enough to split both walls, but it the split line doesnt reach the corner, leaving a gap due the wall join?).

any ideas?

The end of the wall is also a face, so you need to split that also.

I would rather use the hosted sweep to do a soldier course.  You will have more control, can shift it in or out and it will cut the wall and show in sections.  Just load the soldier course profile into the sweep.  You can also set one in the sweeps in the wall properties, then it will automatically be in all the walls that need a soldier course.

thanks for the help.

i would like to use sweeps for the reasons you mentioned. but they have caused other problems in the past. like when i want to pull the brick veneer down to a lower level brick ledge....if i also move the sweep, it will no loger be cut by doors....as well as a few other wierd problems.

i may have to look at it again.
