Ok, so i have a series of Detail Components that i want to add to my Family. The thing with these is that for different Elevation Sections i want a different Detail to show up. But Revit will not allow me to do so. I have inserted the Detail Components onto a specific Reference Plane (to orient them) and have selected "Show only if Instance is Cut" & de selected "Draw in Foreground" and yet it still shows the Detail Component in all of the 3 Sections i am trying to create. If anyone has a soluntion or anything PLEASE HELP!!!

You need to switch off the actual component in the view, under visibilty / settings you can set the modeled component to not display.

How about creating new 'sub-categories' and putting the objects on those new sub-categories and manipulating the visibility that way?
