Here are some of the resouces I give out to our Revit Users Group here in Minneapolis: • New CBT released. Anyone interested in viewing some good "computer based training" videos should take a look at www.dgcad.com - they just posted some new Revit Building 8.0 videos. Some are free others have a fee. • Check out free distance learning on Revit from Autodesk at www.autodesk.com choose “support” on main page then “Revit” from the drop down training box, then “distance learning seminars” • Introducing and Implementing Autodesk Revit 5.5” book by Jim Balding now available. Order at www.autodeskpress.com direct link: http://www.delmarlearning.com/browse_product_detail.aspx?catid=11963&isbn=1401850499 • CDV Systems Courseware Books Check them out at www.cdvsystems.com • Official Autodesk Revit courseware available at http://estore.autodesk.com Choose “courseware” from the left menu. Get the book (available at Amazon) titled "Residential Design Using Autodesk Revit Building 8"! After three false starts with other books and tutorials, including Revit's built-in tutorial (have you seen the huge building with glass walls they start you off with?), this book is the best I've seen. A book on advanced Revit is due to come out in Spring, also from Amazon. Living in the mountains, and no classes within a reasonable distance from me, I'm basically self-taught. I had to draw my information from different sources, books, and this website. I've had Revit for one month now, and no prior CAD experience. I've just completed preliminary plans for two of my own projects already. This program amazes me more each time I use it!
