We usually do out printing in house on an inkjet but since the set is getting so large we sent out our most recent set for printing. When we got the set back, we noticed that all of our elevations look "screened" (to use an AutoCAD term). A lot of lines that should be printing as black lines print as gray lines. Our fire rating lines (which we drew using red detail lines) are also screened. Is there any way to avoid this in the future? Is there something that we do with the PDF or plotter to fix this? Thanks

I actually called the reprographics company and told them about the problem. They found a solution for me.

Can you elaborate on that?

They said that instead of the default printing option on their plotter, they used the "line detail" option. I'm not too sure what that means but it seems to have worked!
