I have a problem when rendering a file with al lot of rfa's (mostly cars)

The cars with metallic colors render black (flat, not metallic), but the reflections render in original colour.

Sometimes changing the view helps, but not for long.

Can someone explain why this happens (or is it a Revit-bug?)

Thanx!

Can you upload an image showing your problem?  If your materials are set up correctly it's probably a driver problem rather than a Revit problem.

Tim,

I'll have to render one, i don't save the bad renders. I will make a new one.

I don't think it's a driver problem, The computers over here have various GPU's and drivers, neither of them works.

We did find it has something to do with metallic colours, because other (none-RFA) elements do have the same problem, but still we do not have the solution...

I think your problem is a memory issue.  You really have to watch using some of the cars posted here because they just have too many facets.  Closing Revit to release all memory then restarting and only opening the window you want to render from will help but may not fix the problem.  You don't need a super detailed car for distant elements.

Ok, the solution,

Revit has only a problem with the RFA's when the background (with rendering) is set to 'color'

Changing it to sky solves the problem!
