Is there a way you can export the "Isolate elements" to the dwg format so that ONLY the isolated elements get converted but NOT the hidden elements?

The 'Isolate elements' and 'Hide elements' are temporary and do not affect the drawing. You can use them to 'Hide in view' and then export your drawing. (Use the temporary hide to hide the elements you do want to export, select everything else and 'Hide in view'. Unhide the temporary hide elements and export the view.)

After isolating the elements click on 'Apply Hide/Isolate to View' as shown in the attachement, export to dwg and then you can undo it.

Cool. The trick is to click on "Apply Hide/Isolate to View" after you hide the unwanted ones. Then export it as .dwg afterward. It works, thanks a lot once again.
