When I create a detail that shows the grid lines, the grid lines extend well beyond the extent of the detail.  I have the scope box to it's min. extents.  Is there a trick or a way around to minimize wasted empty space on my sheet?

I work on Revit Arch 2009 and have the structural grid linked into my file.

Thanks for any ideas or suggestions.

At the end of the grid line there is a little 3d marker when you click on it.  Change it to 2d and stretch the grid line to the position that you would like it.

Thanks for the suggestion Tim, but it doesn't work in my detail views.

Turn on your annotation crop window (view properties) and drag it to where you want it.

WWHub -  the grid lines of imported drawings appear to be controlled by the crop region and not the annotation crop in a detail view.  They extend about 25mm (1"?) beyond the crop  boundary.  I can't see a way to change this.  The same seems to apply to local grid lines.

Since the grid lines were part of the Structural file that I had linked into the Architectural, the only way that I found to control the length of the grid lines is to take ownership of the grid and insert it into the architectural.  Now when we send Revit files back and forth w/ the Structural engineers, we just turn off each other's grid.

Now that the grid is in the architectural model, I have control over how the grid lines are viewed (the suggestions by others now work to control the visibility of the grid).  Also solved the problem of dimenensions that were tied to the grid disappearing everytime we received a new structural file.
