I need to create a curved stair higher than 4000mm. My seco0nd level is 5 m high. I would like to create a compact curved stair meanign it wouldnt be very wide. Everytime I try connecting my stair to the second level, it only goes up to 4000mm. Do i need to split the stair? how do I do this?

If you need the stair to turn over itself then you will need to do it as separate stairs.
